Discharging of import cargo direct on to trailer of consignee
Permission for discharging of import packages from the vessel direct on to the trailers of the consignee is permitted by Dy. Traffic Manager, Cargo Accountal’s Office on a written request from the Custom House Agents / Importer with authorization letter from the consignee and no objection from the Vessel Agent.
(A) Steps :

The importer / CHA makes application in Indira Docks office with Vessel Agents’ NOC & authorization from importer. |

Shed Supdt. after verifying the same permits discharging of cargo directly on consignees/CHA’s trailer/truck. The trailer/truck loaded with the cargo is parked at a suitable location to avoid any inconvenience to traffic / cargo operations or allowed to be offloaded at the storage area earmarked by sectional Asstt. Manager pending completion of cargo clearance formalities. |
