I have assumed additional charge of Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority. I have stepped into this role with excitement and joy.

Mumbai Port holds a history of 150 years and these pages of history are witness to many storms the Port faced but through hardwork, dedication and team work the Port has emerged time and again to reach newer heights.

I am happy to note that the Port is ambitious and Vision of Mumbai Port for the future –

• Becoming Global Cruise Tourism Hub with World Class Cruise Facilities, Domestic Cruise Destinations and Island Tourism Circuits,

• Providing the best Urban Water Transport facilities to Mumbai,

• Hybrid Port as a hub for Lighterage & Liquid Cargo Handling,

• Thriving Ship Building/Ship Repair Ecosystem with next gen capabilities

• Green fuels driving Green Port Operations,

• Technology Enabled Smart Port for Seamless, Efficient Operations & Maintenance

• A Hub for Research, Innovation, Consultancy and Skill Development in the Port and related Sectors 

It is challenging but I am confident that in the coming days with the active support of staff and stakeholders the Port can reach the goals envisioned.

Let us move forward with determination in our step while celebrating our past.
