Important Visits

•  A delegation from Latvia headed by Mr. Normans Penke, State Secretary of Foreign Affairs along with five other delegates visited Mumbai Port on 07.05.2008

• A Parliamentary Committee on Government Assurance, Rajya Sabha under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble MP shri A. Vijayaraghavan  visited Mumbai and held discussion with the Chairman and other Senior Port Officials on 24.01.2009

Other Events

• Mumbai Port signed a Sister Port Agreement with the Port of Marseille, France on 30.09.2008. The agreement was signed by Mr. Jean-Claude Terrier, the Managing Director, Port of Marseille and Chairman, Mumbai Port.

• ISO 9001:2000 Quality  Management System which was originally acquired by Mumbai Port Trust on 10th October 2002 has been further recertified for a period of 3 years w.e.f. 10th October 2008 by the accredited Agency DNV.
