(i) Shifting of uncleared Import cargo from various transit sheds to warehouses after LFD of respective vessel.  Some times warehousing of Import cargo on discharging is carried out due to high value or prone to theft etc.

(ii) Shifting of Personal packages from all over the transit sheds to 1 U/C W/H to enable the passenger to clear their Baggage after custom examination and on payment of Port Trust charges.

(iii) Deployment of gear, equipment,      Lorry, manpower required for      shifting of cargo to warehouse

 

Approving Authority	Asstt. Manager, Warehousing Section
Processing Duration	One day in advance cargo to be warehoused is identified and next day cargo is shifted. Normally after 15 days from LFD  of the vessel, Import cargo is shifted from transit sheds to warehouse except personal effect, which are warehoused immediately on discharging or destuffing
